“Journey of a Lifetime Experience” LaKecia, at just 3 years of age, with the first release of the movie Lion King; was able to recite, sing and dramatize the entire script. Everyone recognized she was given a very special gift. At 10 years of age, her devoted mother moved to California in support of the artistic interest of her daughter. In California, her mother’s passion extended far beyond just developing her children talent; serving hundreds of children and others lives she filled in her short lifetime. A very progressive visionary, securing passports in pursuit of future plans for travel and study abroad. Her life exemplified the expression; love isn’t love, until it’s given away. Michele Luise Bridges-Harris left a living legacy for her children and many more lives of others touched by her presence. LaKecia your family and friends wish to congratulate and celebrate you for the beautiful young women you are, and honoring the life and legacy your mother left for you and so many others. LaKecia, I want to remind you of the words you shared when asked, what would you say about your mom? “My mom was a loving and caring mother, always there for us and anyone that had a need.” LaKecia, fully embrace the special talent God has given you. How you continue to use it is your gift to share with the world. LaKecia Harris…is continuing the living legacy of her gifted, loving and caring mother Michele Harris. LaKecia, now a senior at Ball State University earned college credits while studying abroad and performing in “Alchemy of Desire” at the South African, National Arts Festival in Grahamstown during summer break. The production was directed by Wendy Mortimer, professor at Ball State University. During her “Journey of a Lifetime" in South Africa; LaKecia stayed with a wonderful Pretoria University student’s family. She said she was treated royally by the entire family and community. Time has brought about a number of changes in the family, with the passing of Al, Keith and Lucille. However, the comfort of God's promises and the support of my wonderful family keeps me going day by day. Michele's legacy lives through the wonderful memories of Michele the daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt and friend in our hearts. My eternal love, Aunt Pat
